Key Responsibilities of the Grant Accounting Supervisor
- Lead timely, accurate financial reporting and billing for a diverse government grants portfolio (~$38M)
- Optimize budgeting, financial controls, and reimbursement processes to maximize funding
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of three, ensuring operational continuity and high performance
- Partner with senior leadership to ensure compliance with city and funder regulations under tight timelines
- Champion continuous improvement across workflows, supporting city contracts and nonprofit program missions
Must-Have Skills/Experience (Required)
- Significant technical expertise in nonprofit/government grant accounting and reporting
- Demonstrated ability to produce timely, accurate financial deliverables on strict schedules
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field OR equivalent hands-on technical experience
- (Prior supervisory experience is not required; strong technical leads encouraged)
