Office Manager

Monday–Friday 7:00am–4:00pm (ideal schedule)

The Office Manager will play a key role in stabilizing and organizing daily office operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cleaning things up, creating structure, and taking ownership. You’ll be the go-to person for payroll coordination, billing support, AP/AR, and general office administration.


Office Manager Key Responsibilities

Payroll (Biweekly)

  • Coordinate payroll using a timekeeping app and an external payroll provider

  • Collect, review, and submit hours for hourly employees

  • Manage payroll for salaried employees

  • Allocate labor hours to active projects

Billing & Accounts Support

  • Assist with getting billables out, including catching up on delayed invoicing

  • Support basic AR tasks and follow-up as needed

  • Manage a shared office email inbox

Accounts Payable

  • Maintain AP system

  • Write checks weekly

  • Process multiple invoices per vendor

  • Update and track petty cash

Office Administration

  • Scan, file, and manage paperwork digitally

  • Order office supplies and maintain office organization

  • Support general administrative needs as they arise



Office Manager Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • 2–3+ years of experience with AP/AR or accounting exposure

  • Comfortable working independently without a daily task list

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products

  • Willingness to take ownership and grow into a full-charge bookkeeping-style role

Nice-to-Have / Plus:

  • Prior Office Manager experience

  • Payroll processing experience

  • Construction industry experience (AIA billing, job costing)

  • Experience with digital document scanning and paperless systems

  • HR or benefits administration exposure

  • Ability and desire to create processes and procedures from scratch
