Project Manager
Position Overview
This role is heavily focused on digital and business process transformation, with approximately 75% of responsibilities centered on leading or supporting cross‑functional initiatives that re-engineer finance capabilities, systems, and processes. The remaining up to 25% may involve operational engagement to maintain subject‑matter expertise and support financial cycles.
Key Responsibilities
Transformational Leadership (Primary Focus – ~75%)
- Lead or support medium‑scale functional or cross‑functional projects using formal transformation methodologies, tools, templates, and processes.
- Drive digital and business process transformation efforts focused on finance systems, transactions, and capabilities.
- Manage relationships with process owners, operational leaders, project sponsors, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals, scope, timelines, deliverables, and trade‑offs from project ideation through closure.
- Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve project issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Coach, mentor, and oversee project team members, SMEs, and designers—ensuring accountability for achieving milestones on time and with high quality.
- Provide guidance and work direction to teams of approximately 4–7 individuals.
Operational Support (Secondary Focus – up to 25%)
- Engage in current-state processes to maintain operational understanding and provide subject‑matter expertise.
- Balance operational insight with ongoing transformation efforts, particularly during critical financial cycles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- 7+ years of relevant professional experience; 3–5 years of transformation-related experience required.
- Advanced understanding of complex accounting practices, processes, and principles.
- Proven experience leading or implementing enterprise-level financial business process improvements.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to “tell the story” and translate complex technical or financial concepts into clear business terms.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within large, diverse, cross-functional project teams.
- Experience with formal business process transformation tools and methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, project management, process analysis, business architecture, or process design. Certifications in these areas are a plus.

Work Model
- Remote, with some in-office required (1-2 days every 2 weeks estimated for stand-ups, company town halls, finance / team meetings)
- We are only considering candidates in the states of Minnesota or Wisconsin due to in-office requirement
Compensation:
- $100,000 - $130,000/year
- Bonus Eligible
