Entry-Level Staff Accountant
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Compensation: $58,000 - $65,000 base salary

A well‑established Minnesota manufacturing company is seeking an Entry-Level Staff Accountant to join its finance team. This role provides hands‑on exposure to cost accounting, inventory processes, operational finance, and month-end close—making it ideal for early-career accountants who want to build a strong foundation.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Support general ledger posting and maintenance
- Assist with month-end close tasks and journal entries
- Prepare account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and documentation
- Review and help maintain accurate cost and inventory data
- Support standard costing updates and cost variance analysis
- Assist with preparation of internal financial statements
- Help analyze production and materials variances and trends
- Maintain organized financial files, documentation, and audit support
- Assist with annual financial audit preparation
- Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and HR to ensure accurate financial information
- Contribute to process improvements and support ERP/accounting system updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or expected soon)
- Internship experience in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
- Solid understanding of basic GAAP concepts
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with common accounting tools
- Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and willingness to work cross‑functionally
