The Revenue Cycle Manager manages the policies, objectives, and initiatives of the organizations revenue cycle activities to achieve revenue targets and optimize the patient financial interaction.

Job Description

  • Implements processes for admissions pricing, billing, third party payer relationships compliance and collections ensuring clinical revenue cycle is effective and properly utilized.
  • Track metrics related to patient engagement cycle including record coding errors rates and building turnaround times to develop sound revenue and reporting.
  • Coordinates internal team payers and providers to generate high reimbursement rates and a low level of denials.
  • Owns the provider credentialing and the provider enrollment and contracting process with third party vendors ensuring MRHC entity and providers are enrolled with commercials payers and MCO’s.
  • Actively participate in problem-solving and troubleshooting issues, implementing, and documenting solutions for team to follow. Delivering high-quality support and service to end-users.
  • Maintain and manage the revenue cycle/scheduling system workflows including documenting policies, procedures, and methodologies implemented in support of changes or enhancements.
  • Serve as the liaison between organizational needs and ECW implementation staff.
  • As needed facilitate meetings with team members and clinic leadership to review the status of deliverables, shared issues, end-user concerns, budget, and upcoming milestones.
  • Maintain regular communication with ECW representatives or other EHR vendors.
  • Collaborate with ECW representatives, EHR vendors, leadership, and end users to ensure the system meets clinics business needs.
  • Drives all collections from inception to completion.
  • Submits billings to appropriate insurance providers ensuring accurate and timely claim processing.
  • Prepare, post and record patient payments and transactions to accounts receivable.
  • Achieve maximum reimbursement for services rendered.
  • Follow up with unpaid encounters for collections.
  • Conduct Medicaid and Medicare reviews.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in revenue cycle management as an individual contributor.
  • Effective leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver exceptional service.
  • Technical skills- strive to continuously build knowledge, skills, accuracy, and thoroughness.
  • Teamwork- contributes to building a positive team spirit.
  • Must possess excellent oral/written communication skills and the ability to prioritize and complete tasks.
